Preparation:
Place the wine and sugar in a double boiler over boiling water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved -- this may take up to 10 minutes, because port is already very sweet. DO NOT let the mixture boil. When the sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and stir in the liquid pectin. Pour into jars (about 8 1/4 pint jars, or 41/2 pints), put on lids and process in a hot water bath for 15 minutes.
