Preparation:
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook, stirring frequently, until soft and golden, about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook until soft, about 3 minutes. Remove to a plate and cover with foil. Cut steak into 4 pieces. Add remaining oil to skillet. Cook the steaks about 3 minutes per side for medium rare. To test, cut center of steak with the tip of a sharp knife. Place a steak on each dinner plate. Top with onions and mushrooms. |
