Preparation:
Beat eggs; add milk (whipping cream); add orange extract and vanilla extract.
Spread cream cheese on both sides of 1/4" slices of French bread.
Spread orange marmalade on one slice of French bread.
Put slices of French bread together making a "sandwich".
Dip "sandwich" in egg mixture.
Cook on medium heat griddle until golden brown. (May melt a "pat of butter" on griddle before cooking "sandwich" to help browning.)
Top with "Orange Butter" and powdered sugar to taste.
Orange Butter: Beat all ingredients together until smooth and "icing-like". Refrigerate until ready for use. |
