Preparation:
Made with green tomatoes from garden when the frost hits and there is a surplus of tomatoes not ripened yet (Northern New York State). Use blender to puree green tomatoes (not necessary to peel them, just remove stems). Boil blended green tomatoes and sugar for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Jell-O. Let cool and pour into jars. Mixture will be thin and will thicken in jars. Pour melted wax over mixture to preserve. |
