Preparation:
Brown meat in a large skillet; pour off fat. Add tomato sauce, sugar, salt and chili powder. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350F. Meanwhile, cook noodles. Drain. Line the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch casserole with a third of the noodles. Mix sour cream, cream cheese and chives thoroughly. Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture over noodles.
Top with 1/3 of the meat sauce. Repeat each layer twice. Bake for 25 minutes or until mixture is bubbly. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and return to oven until cheese melts. |
