Preparation:
remove cores and pare apples into quarters combine apples with cider or juice in a saucepan, over a moderate flame heat to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes transfer to a food processor process to a fine puree return to saucepan, heat and boil gently for 30 minutes stir in sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves heat and stir, over a low flame, for 60 minutes, until well thickened pour into sterile jars process in a water bath (10min for 1/2pt jars) store in a cool dark place serve warm, chilled, or at room temperature |
