Preparation:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease square pan, 9 x 9 x2 inches. In large mixing bowl blend melted butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; using spoon, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually blend into egg mixture. Stir in nuts, if desired. Spread inot prepared pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool; frost with creamy brownie frosting, if desired. Cut into squares. About 16 brownies. |
