Preparation:
Place the cut kumquats into a pan and squeeze over the lemon juice, pour over the water. Bring up to the boil, then simmer for approximately 11/2 minutes.
Add the sugar and treacle and demarera sugar and stir the mixture on a low heat until well dissolved.
Increase the heat and boil the marmalade rapidly for approximately 10 minutes. Leave to stand for 10 minutes before potting. |
