Preparation:
Boil sugar, water, shorteninng, soda, spice and mixed fruit for 12 minutes. Allow to cool. Add eggs and flours and flavouring. Stir in well. Bake in a greased paper lined pan 8ins x 8ins x 3ins using a moderate oven (320 degrees F) or about 160 degrees C for about an hour |
