Preparation:
Make holes in the center of each slice of bread with a 1-inch round cutter.
In a large skillet melt the butter over medium heat. Add the bread slices
and
cook until lightly browned on the bottom. Flip over and break an egg into
the
center of each slice. Cover and cook over medium low heat for about 2
minutes
or until the eggs are almost done. Place a ham slice over each egg and
sprinkle with cheese. Cover and cook over medium low heat for 1 to 2
minutes
or until the cheese melts. Serve immediately. Makes 8 servings. |
