  1              quart  shucked oysters
  1                cup  milk
     1/2           cup  cream
     1/4           cup  unsalted butter
     1/4      teaspoon  fresh ground white pepper
     1/8      teaspoon  salt
  2        tablespoons  parsley
 

Preparation:

Combine oysters in their liquor, milk, cream, butter, and pepper in the top of a double boiler set over boiling water and heat until oysters float season to taste with salt and additional white pepper spoon into serving dish garnish with minced parsley serve hot
