Preparation:
In slow cooker, combine beans and boiling water. Cover and set aside.
Place medium nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and saute until lightly browned, 4-5 minutes.
Add onion, carrot and garlic; saute until garlic is golden, about 4 minutes.
Combine sausage mixture, chicken, tomatoes, celery, marjoram, pepper, sage, bay leaf and cloves with beans in the cooker; set on low and cook 10-12 hours. Stir in parsley and salt just before serving.
Serving (1 1/2 cups) provides: 1 1/4 veg, 1 pro, 1 1/2 bread. |
