Preparation:
Drain fruit and reserve juice. Melt butter in saucepan. When almost sizzling, add flour and stir until completely blended with butter. Add 1 1/2 cups combined juices from the fruit. Cook and stir with wire whisk until thick. Add brown sugar, sherry, and spices. Arrange all fruit, except apple rings, in large casserole; pour sauce over all, and put apple rings on top. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. May make a day ahead if desired. |
