Rigatoni Combination

Ingredients:

     1/2         Pound  rigatoni or other pasta
  1              Clove  garlic -- minced
  1           Teaspoon  olive oil or vegetable oil
  1                     onion chopped
     1/2                green pepper -- chopped
  1          Small Can  tomato sauce
  1                Can  kidney beans -- (16 ounce) drained
     1/4      Teaspoon  salt (optional)
  1           Teaspoon  soy sauce
     1/2      Teaspoon  chilli powder
                        black pepper to taste
 

Preparation:

Cook pasta according to package directions. In skillet, saute onion garlic and green pepper in oil, 4 to 5 minutes or until soft. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer several minutes. Drain pasta when done and stir into sauce. Serve as is or add 1/2 cup tofu or low fat cottage cheese to each serving Johanna
