Preparation:
In a large heavy pot, combine all ingredients; add water to cover. Bring to boil; cover, lower heat and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours, the longer the better. You will have to add water as it is needed. Add more chili powder [or Tabasco sauce] if you want it hotter. Serve with green chile stew, brisket, barbeque, or any other hearty meat, or alone with a salad. |
