Ingredients:

  10                    chinese mushrooms -- small
     1/4  pound         prawns
   5                    fresh water chestnuts -- (or 7 canned ones)
     1/2  pound         ground pork
   1                    green onion -- finely chopped
   1      package       wonton skins
   1      teaspoon      salt
     1/2  teaspoon      sugar
   1      teaspoon      thin soy sauce
   1      teaspoon      oyster sauce
   1      dash          pepper
   1 1/4  tablespoons   cornstarch
   1      small         egg
 

Preparation:

1. Boil Chinese mushrooms for 10 minutes, rinse, squeeze 2.dry, cut off, and discard stems; then, chop into very small pieces. 3.Shell, devein and wash prawns. Chop into very small pieces. 4. Peel and crush water chestnuts with the flat side of the cleaver. If you don't have a cleaver, chop the water chestnuts into very fine pieces. 5. Combine mushrooms, prawns, water chestnuts, pork and green onion. 6. Add all other ingredients and mix well. 1 teaspoon of filling is used for each wonto
