Garlic and Beer Marinated Shrimp

Ingredients:

  1              pound  fresh or frozen shrimp -- medium size, in

     3/4           cup  beer
  1         tablespoon  vegetable oil
  2          teaspoons  fresh chives -- chopped
     1/2      teaspoon  red pepper sauce
     1/4      teaspoon  salt
  2                     garlic cloves -- crushed
                        butter -- melted
                        lemon wedges
 

Preparation:

Peel shrimp. Devein. Mix remaining ingredients in shallow glass pan. Stir in shrimp. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Set oven control to broil. Remove shrimp from marinade. Place shrimp on rack in broiler pan. Broil shrimp about 4" from heat about 5 minutes, turning once and brushing with marinade, until shrimp are pink. Serve with melted margarine or butter and lemon wedges.
