Hungarian Mustard Sauce

Ingredients:

  1                cup  whole grain mustard
     1/3           cup  white vinegar
     1/4      teaspoon  white pepper
     1/4      teaspoon  kosher salt
     1/3           cup  cornstarch
     1/4           cup  dry white wine
 

Preparation:

combine half the mustard, vinegar, white pepper, and salt with 4 cups water in a saucepan, over a moderate flame bring to a boil, reduce heat, and stir for 1 minute combine cornstarch with 1 cup water-mix well stir into saucepan, reduce heat, and stir until thickened remove from heat and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, stirring often stir in remaining mustard and wine cover and chill serve slightly chilled or at room temperature
