Preparation:
Prepare crumb crust for Easy Fruit Bars (see recipe) and spread half the mixture in a greased 8x8 inch pan (9x9 inch pan if adding rolled oats). Combine balance of ingredients. EXCEPT nuts, and cook, stirring occasionally, over low heat until mixture thickens. Cool slightly; stir in nuts and spread date/nut mixture over crumb crust base. Top with remaining crumb crust and bake according to Easy Fruit Bar instructions. |
