Idaho Dutch Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients:

  2               cups  milk
  4               cups  potatoes -- slice 1/4"
     1/4      teaspoon  oregano
     1/4      teaspoon  thyme
     1/4      teaspoon  rosemary
  2             cloves  garlic -- minced
                        salt to taste
     1/8      teaspoon  white pepper
  1                cup  gouda cheese -- shredded
  1                cup  table cream
 

Preparation:

1. Heat milk in a large saucepan; add potatoes and seasoning. Cook about 20 minutes; stirring often.

2. Layer cooked potatoes in a greased baking dish, alternating with cheese. Pour cream and any remaining milk over all.

3. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
