Babe Ruth Bars with Rice Krispies

Ingredients:

     1/2           cup  sugar
     1/2           cup  light corn syrup
     3/4           cup  peanut butter
  3               cups  crispy rice cereal
  1            package  chocolate chips -- (6 oz.)
  3             ounces  butterscotch chips
 

Preparation:

Combine sugar and syrup in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the peanut butter and crispy rice cereal. Spread into a well-greased 9x9 inch baking dish. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in top of a double boiler and spread over the mixture in the pan. Cool and cut into bars.
