Ingredients:

     1/2           cup  butter -- softened
     1/2           cup  oil
     1/2           cup  sugar
     1/2           cup  brown sugar
  1                     egg white
  1 1/2      teaspoons  vanilla
  1 3/4           cups  all-purpose flour
  1           teaspoon  salt
     1/2      teaspoon  baking soda
     1/2      teaspoon  cream of tartar
     3/4           cup  milk chocolate chips
     1/2           cup  crispy rice cereal
     1/2           cup  rolled oats
     1/2           cup  sliced almonds
 

Preparation:

Cream together the butter, oil, sugars, egg white and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar in a separate bowl. Add the butter mixture and stir until combined. Fold in chocolate chips, cereal, oats, and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Note: Substitute walnuts, pecans, or peanuts or omit the nuts altogether.
