Homemade Chili - Gran Burger

Ingredients:

  1 1/2           cups  granburger
  1 1/4           cups  hot water
  1 1/2           cups  chopped onion
  2             cloves  garlic -- pressed or minced
  1                can  whole tomatoes -- 28oz
  1                can  kidney beans -- 17oz
  1         tablespoon  sugar
  2          teaspoons  chili powder -- optional
  1           teaspoon  salt
 

Preparation:

Rehydrate granburger in hot water for 10 minutes. Saute rehydrated granburger, onion and garlic in a little corn oil in a dutch oven or heavy saucepan till vegetables are tender. Add remaining ingredients. Stir till thoroughly blended. Simmer uncovered about 30 minutes till proper consistency is reached.
