     1/2           cup  dry breadcrumbs
     1/4           cup  unsalted butter
  1              pound  ground round
  1                cup  fresh breadcrumbs
  1                cup  onion
  2          teaspoons  garlic
  1           teaspoon  ginger
     1/4      teaspoon  ground cumin
     1/8      teaspoon  ground cinnamon
     1/8      teaspoon  ground cloves
     1/2      teaspoon  kosher salt
     1/4      teaspoon  black pepper
  1           teaspoon  fresh lime juice
 

Preparation:

place the beaten egg in a small bowl, set aside place the dry breadcrumbs in a small bowl, set aside heat the butter in a skillet, over a medium flame combine remaining ingredients-mix well form into 3/4-inch meatballs moisten with beaten egg roll in breadcrumbs place into the skillet and brown well on all sides drain on a cooling rack and blot with paper towels arrange onto a serving platter skewer with frilled toothpicks serve hot, with assorted dipping sauces to the side
