Wednesday's Chili

Ingredients:

  1 1/2         pounds  ground beef
  2        tablespoons  oil
     1/2      teaspoon  salt
 10             ounces  campbell's onion soup
  1         tablespoon  chili powder
  2          teaspoons  cumin powder
     1/2      teaspoon  pepper
 21             ounces  undrained kidney beans
  6             ounces  tomato paste
  8             ounces  tomato sauce
 

Preparation:

Brown 1 1/2 lbs ground beef in oil in 10 inch skillet. Crumble beef. Add 1/2 tsp. salt. Pack beef firmly into pan. Cover and heat 20 minutes on low. Meanwhile put onion soup in blender for 1 minute. Add to beef. Mash beef with fork till looks like rice. Simmer 5 minutes covered, on low. Add: Kidney beans, tomato paste and sauce. Heat thoroughly about 20 minutes, to let flavors blend.
