Preparation:
Chop bbacon finely. Put in pan heat gently; then drain. Stir in celery onions and butter and cook slowly, stirring well until celery and onions are colored. Sprinkle in cornstarch and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, pepper. Bring to boil and simmer for10 minutes. Strain or puree in a blender. Reheat, crumble in cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Makes 4-6 servings |
