Corn Ham and Pasta Toss

Ingredients:

  2 1/4           cups  bow tie pasta -- uncooked OR
  2 3/4           cups  rotini -- uncooked
  2               cups  fresh corn kernels
     3/4           cup  Low Fat cooked ham -- cubed
  2        tablespoons  margarine or butter
     1/2           cup  green onion -- sliced
     1/2           cup  red bell pepper -- chopped
     1/4           cup  reduced-fat cream cheese
     1/2           cup  skim milk
                        fresh parsley -- chopped
                        optional
 

Preparation:

In large saucepan, cook pasta to desired doneness, as directed on pkg., adding corn during last 6 minutes and ham during last minute of cooking time. Drain well. Meanwhile, melt margarine in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bell pepper, cooking and stirring until tender. Reduce heat to Medium-Low. Using wire whisk, beat in cream cheese and milk until smooth. Add pasta mixture and toss to coat. Sprinkle with parsley, if
