Homemade Spaghetti Sauce (Low Fat)

Ingredients:

     1/2      teaspoon  olive oil
  1          8 oz. can  mushrooms -- sliced
  1                cup  bell peppers -- chopped
     1/2           cup  onions -- chopped
  1                can  crushed tomatoes -- (14-1/2 oz.)
                        -- undrained
  1          8 oz. can  no-salt-added tomato sauce
  2        tablespoons  pizza seasoning
  1 1/2      teaspoons  salt
  1           teaspoon  granulated sugar
  1           teaspoon  oregano
  1           teaspoon  basil
     1/4      teaspoon  black pepper
 

Preparation:

To prepare sauce, heat oil in a skillet, cook mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions until tender. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, pizza seasoning, salt, sugar, oregano, basil, and black pepper. Simmer all ingredients until bubbling or 15 minutes. Let cool. Pour sauce over pasta or use in other recipes calling for spaghetti sauce.
