Preparation:
Heat oven to 350.
Grease and flour 3 round pans, 8 x 1 1/2 inches or 2 round pans, 9 x 1 1/2 inches.
Beat sugar, margarine, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl at medium speed, scraping bowl constantly, until blended, about 30 seconds.
Beat on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally, for 5 minutes.
Beat in flour, baking powder and salt, alternately with milk on low speed.
Pour into pans.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in centercomes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan, cool completely. |
