Preparation:
Mix cake or brownies as directed on package, mix in almond extract and bake according to the package directions. Let cool.
If using Kaluha, prick cake top with fork and drizzle 1 cup of liquor over cake. Refrigerate while preparing other ingredients.
Melt chocolate chips over warm water or in microwave. Dip 8 - 10 strawberries, (with stems in tact) place on foil lined plate and refrigerate for garnish.
Prepare pudding using the 2 cups of milk. Add enough whipped topping (about 1 cup) to the pudding to make it resemble a mousse-like consistency.
Spoon small amount of mousse pudding mixture onto bottom of trifle bowl and assemble Cake as follows: 1) Crumble about 1/3 cake into bowl 2) Spoon about 1/3 mousse mixture over cake 3) Raspberries - if used 4) Spoon whipped topping over to cover 5) Crumble 2 Skor bars over Cool Whip 6) Repeat layers and garnish with chocolate covered strawberries or fresh raspberries. |
