Preparation:
Pre heat the oven to 180C. Lightly oil a 2lb loaf tin. Sift the flour, baking powder and cinnamon into a bowl.
Put the margarine and sugar in a food processor, whizz until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and treacle, whizz again for a few seconds.
Add the sifted dry ingredients and whizz again. Add the dates and pulse for a few seconds until just combined.
Spoon into tin. Smooth the surface and cook for 45 minutes - 1 hour or until a skewer when inserted comes out clean. |
