Preparation:
Cake: Cream sugar, butter, and shortening. Add eggs; beat well. Sift
together dry ingredients. Add to shortening mixture alternately with
buttermilk or sour milk. Add vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees. Bake 2
(9inch) layers for 25 minutes. Bake 1 (13x9 inch) pan for 30-40
minutes.
Frosting:
Mix all ingredients. Spread on hot cake and put under broiler for a
few minutes until golden color. Watch carefully. |
