Preparation:
1. Melt butter in skillet; add sifted zwieback crumbs and stir until nicely brown.
2. Mix together applesauce, lemon juice and Angostura.
3. Butter baking dish well. Arrange crumbs and applesauce in alternating layers, finishing with crumbs.
4. Bake in preheated 375 F. oven 25 to 35 minutes.
5. Cool before unmolding; serve with whipped cream. |
