Stroganoff Casserole (Hamburger And Noodles Stroganoff)

Ingredients:

  2           Packages  shell-mac noodles -- (4 ounce)
     1/4           Cup  butter (less is O.K.)
     1/2           Cup  chopped onion (or frozen)
  1                     garlic clove chopped
     1/2         Pound  mushrooms or 4 ounce can (drained)
                        mushrooms
  1              Pound  ground chuck
  1         Tablespoon  flour
  1                Can  tomato sauce -- (8 ounce)
     1/4           Cup  red wine
  1                Can  beef boullion -- (10 1/2 ounce)
                        undiluted
  1           Teaspoon  salt
     1/4      Teaspoon  pepper
  1                Cup  sour cream
     1/4           Cup  grated Parmesan cheese
 

Preparation:

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees Cook the noodles and drain them Melt butter in a skillet Saute onions, garlic and mushrooms until onions are brown--5 minutes? Add beef and cook, stirring until brown Remove from heat, stir in flour, tomato sauce, wine, boullion, salt and pepper. Simmer 20 minutes Blend in sour cream Fold noodles into meat mixture, pour into lightly-greased 2 quart casserole dish (3 quart, if doubling receipe) Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 25 minutes uncovered. 6 servings
