Crock Pot Steak Rolade

Ingredients:

  2             Pounds  flank steak
  1           Teaspoon  salt
  1           Teaspoon  pepper or to you liking or taste
     3/4           Cup  onion chopped
     3/4           Cup  bacon chopped
     1/4           Cup  water
 

Preparation:

Trim fat off steaks. Season with salt and pepper. Mix onion and bacon and spread over each steak. Roll steaks...as you would do for a jelly roll...tie the rolls tightly in several places with a string. Put steaks into slow cooker. Add water, cover pot. Cook on LOW for 8 hours. If you want to serve this with gravy, remove meat when done and thicken liquid with a mix of flour and water and cook it in slow cooker on high for 15 minutes.
