Preparation:
Makes one 9 x 5 x 3-inch bread
1. Mix together flours, sugar, baking powder and salt; stir in coconut.
2. Combine milk and egg; add to dry ingredients, blending well.
3. Add apples and dates.
4. Turn into greased, floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan; bake in preheated 350 F. oven 1 1/4 hours. Cool on rack.
NOTE: Terrific to slice for coffee or tea break, or as a dessert topped with apple plum butter. |
