Broccoli Di Rabe Cakes

Ingredients:

  1              pound  broccoli di rabe
     1/4           cup  bread crumbs
  1              large  egg
     1/2           cup  grated pepato or other cheese
  2             cloves  garlic -- chopped
                        basil & thyme
 

Preparation:

Cut coarse stems off broccoli. Boil until tender(about 10 min). Cool and chop. Mix in eggs, garlic,fresh basil and thyme. Mix in breadcrumbs. Shape into patties, and cook in olive oil until outside turnsdark brown,about 5 min per side. Drain and serve.
