Guacamole with Peas

Serves: 2 cups
 

Ingredients:

     1/2  cup           canned green peas --  rinsed with cool 
                        - water for 2 minutes and drained 
   2      tablespoons   nonfat mayonnaise 
   1      tablespoon    lemon juice 
     1/4  medium        avocado -- slightly mashed 
     1/2  cup           tomato -- chopped 
     1/4  cup           onion -- finely chopped 
   1      tablespoon    salsa 
     1/4  teaspoon      garlic salt 
     1/4  teaspoon      chili powder 
 

Preparation:

In a food processor, blend peas, mayonnaise and lemon juice until ultra- smooth. Transfer to a mixing bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Season to taste. Serve with baked tortilla chips.
