Preparation:
1. Wash apples (any kind, my favorite is granny smith)
2. In a small bowl or tupperware mix a few tablespoons of sugar with a couple of shakes of ground cinnamon. Mix and add more sugar/cinnamon to your likings. (this is also great on toast with butter)
3. With an apple corer, core apples
4. Slice apples into doughnut rings about 1//8 in thick or less
5. Bathe apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning (I ususally slice about 3 or 4 apples then put them in a tupperware, sprinkle with juice, put the lid on and shake and turn gently)
6. Place apples on dehydrator trays not overlaping.
7. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on to tops of apples, I usually use about 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar per tray, but it is up to you. |
