1 lb. bacon
1 whole yellow onion (chopped)
1 green pepper (chopped)
1 can green chiles (3oz.)

2 large fresh tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1 large can chopped whole tomatoes
4 oz. chili powder
3 tbsp. cumin, salt & pepper, cayenne pepper (all to taste)
3 garlic cloves
1 can beef broth
1 tbsp. worcestershire |
Preparation:
brown bacon, and use bacon grease to brown sirloin. sautee onions and green pepper in butter. combine fresh tomatoes, jalepenos, and garlic in a blender to puree form. combine all ingredients in crockpot, and cook for 7-10 hours until sirloin is very tender.
i recommend serving over cornbread, although some like serving over white rice. oyster crackers, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and sour cream make wonderful condiments, and i encourage you to use them. |
