Best veggie chili

Serves: 4-6
Bring this chili to your potlucks. People will think it has hamburger and love it!
 

Ingredients:

1         stick         oleo
1         small         onion, cut up
3                       Morningstar breakfast (sausage) patties
1         can           kidney beans (or "chili" beans)
1-2       tbsp.         chili powder (to taste)
1         large         can tomato juice (46 oz)
1         cup           medium shell pasta
 

Preparation:

Melt oleo in large saucepan, add onions. Place patties over onions, cook over med. heat, turning patties once, long enough to thaw patties and smash them to hamburger consistency. Add beans and chili powder, stir well. Add tomato juice, stir, then pasta. Bring to good simmer, then turn to low simmer and cook 45-60 minutes. Serve. (Can be put into crockpot and brought as potluck dish)
