Shrimp Pilau

Ingredients:

   4      tablespoons   butter
     1/2  cup           finely chopped celery
   2      tablespoons   chopped bell pepper
   2      cups          medium whole shrimp
   1      tablespoon    Worcestershire sauce
   1      teaspoon      ground cayenne pepper
   1      tablespoon    flour
   1                    salt
   1                    fresh ground black pepper
   3      cups          cooked white rice -- hot
   4      slices        fried crisp bacon
 

Preparation:

Melt the butter and add celery and bell pepper. Cook until soft. Meanwhile, sprinkle the shrimp with Worcestershire sauce and mix cayenne and flour together. Stir shrimp in the flour and add to the butter mixture. Stir and simmer until the shrimp are cooked, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
