Preparation:
Assemble and attach food grinder using coarse grinding plate. Turn to speed 4 and grind onions into a small bowl. Add red pepper, water, and salt. Let stand 15 minutes, then drain.
Grind apples into 5-quart pot. Add onion mixture, vinegar, sugar, and cloth bag filled with spices. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Remove spice bag. Ladle into hot, sterilized jars and process 15 minutes in boiling water bath. Remove jars from bath; cool and check seals. |
