Preparation:
Combine butter and cocoa in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until butter melts. Cool slightly. Combine sugar, flour, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large bowl. Add chocolate mixture and beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until blended. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
Spread into a well-greased, 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove lid from peanut butter jar and microwave on medium setting for 2 or 3 minutes or until peanut butter melts, stirring at 1 minute intervals. Spread over warm brownies. Chill 30 minutes or until set.
For the frosting: Combine butter, cocoa, milk and marshmallows in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until marshmallows melt. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over peanut butter and chill until set. Store in refrigerator.
Success note: If you like peanut butter and chocolate, these brownies will be a hit. |
