Lemon-Herbed Steak

Ingredients:

  16      ounces        boneless beef top loin steaks (approximate -- cut 1 inch thick
                        Salt
                        SEASONINGS
   1      large         garlic clove -- crushed
   1      teaspoon      lemon peel -- grated
     1/2  teaspoon      dried thyme leaves
     1/4  teaspoon      pepper
 

Preparation:

In small bowl, combine seasoning ingredients; press into both sides of beef steaks. Place steaks on grid over medium ash-covered coals. Grill uncovered 16 to 18 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally. Trim fat from steaks. Carve steaks crosswise into thick slices; season with salt, as desired.
