Filet Mignon with Pasilla Chile BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

   4                    filet mignon steaks -- (8 ounces each)
                        Salt and freshly ground black pepper to -- taste
                        -----------------------------
                        Pasilla Chile BBQ Sauce:
   1 1/2  cups          New Mexico-style BBQ Sauce
   2      tablespoons   maple syrup
   2      tablespoons   pasilla chile powder
     1/4  cup           chopped cilantro
 

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients well and marinate filets for 1 hour. Prepare a wood or charcoal grill and let burn down to embers. Remove filets from BBQ sauce and cook on grill for 4 minutes on each side for medium rare.
