Preparation:
1. Combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt in medium saucepan; gradually stir in milk.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; boil and stir 1 minute.
3. Remove from heat; blend in butter and vanilla.
4. Pour into individual serving dishes; carefully press plastic wrap onto surface.
5. Chill; serve garnished with whipped topping and chopped nuts, if desired.
Microwave Directions 1. Combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt in medium glass mixing bowl; gradually stir in milk.
2. Microwave on High (full power) for 5 minutes, stirring once during cooking time.
3. Microwave an additional 1 to 2 minutes on High, or until mixture is cooked and thickened.
4. Stir in butter and vanilla; pour into individual serving dishes.
5. Cover with plastic wrap pressed down on pudding surface; chill well to serve. |
