Preparation:
combine sugar with 2/3 cup water in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Do not bring to a boil. Let this cool. Process the berries, raspberry syrup and grated orange peel for 1 minute. Add the cooled syrup and process until mixture is smooth. Freeze. Several hours before serving, remove from the freezer. Break up into pieces and process, adding the egg white or cream, and thoroughly mix. Freeze. Soften a little prior to serving. |
