Preparation:
Put prunes, sugar and 1 1/2 cups water in saucepan and simmer 10-15 min., depending upon size of the prunes. Let cool and remove pits. Put prunes and all liquid into a blender and puree. If using food processor, put prunes in first, run blades and add liquid to finish. Whip cream lightly until it thickens slightly. Mix cream and prunes in a bowl and place in freezer for 1 hour. Put mixture in ice cream freezer and proceed according to manufactures directions. When done, place in freezer in a plastic air-tight container for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, depending on freezer temp. If too firm to eat, let stand in refrigerator for 30 min. to soften before eating.
