Ingredients:


2 cups water

2 cups milk

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup yellow cornmeal

1/4 cup butter/margerine
 

Preparation / Directions:


Cottage Cheese (Optional) Sour Cream (Optional) Grated Parmesan Cheese (Optional) In a saucepan combine first 5 ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and cook until butter is melted and mixture is thick, about 15--20 minutes. Serve topped with a spoonful of cottage cheese and sour cream. (Marmaliga can also be served plain or sprinkled with grated Parmesan Cheese.)
